Division 1 Teams Continue to Improve, Jets Extend Streak

The Jets are playing as team with each player contributing to their 4 game winning streak. Last Sunday the Jets won both games of their double header against the Steelers and Browns. The Jets scored a combined 6 offensive and 2 defensive touchdowns on Saturday. Anthony Brockway started the offensive explosion with an 80 yard run to start the day and scored a second time receiving a pass in game 2.  Joel Batrez Jr. aka “Champ” ran 1, passed for 2 TD’s as well as intercepted a pass for touchdown. Jacob Antillon scored 3 times. 1 running, 1 receiving and a defensive touchdown off an interception. . Dominic Azila, Kaedin Godejohn and Rhys Odom scored the Jets extra points. Coach Joel Batrez Sr. has the defensive playing well. The Jets have only allowed a high of 8pts per game in the past 4 outings. Victor Juan, Evan Weaver, and Spencer Faull all contributed to the strong defensive play. Sportsmanship and team work have been the focus of the JETS this season and each player is displaying great awareness at every practice and game. The Jets are looking forward to this week’s game against the Titans and building off their 4 game winning streak. J.E.T.S Jets, Jets, Jets!
The Browns split their double header in week 3 losing to the Jets and beating the Bears by the score of 34-23.  Against the Bears Jordan Guitterez had an outstanding defensive performance pulling seven (7) flag.  Great job Jordan!  The Browns face the Titans and improving Steelers in week 4.  Keep up the good work Browns!
The Titans dropped into a tie with the Browns for second place in Division 1 after a hard fought battle against the Bears ended in a loss on Saturday.  The Titans are a fun team that get so much enjoyment out of playing together.  Coach Killinger has these kids working hard and having a blast!  The Titans have two difficult match ups this Saturday as they play the Browns and Jets.  Good Luck Titans!
The Steelers continue to improve on the fundamentals and working together as a team.  They dropped their week 4 game against the powerful Jets but look to on track this week against the Bears and Browns.
Coach Lux's Bears continue to make tremendous strides as a team defeating the Titans in a good game 39-26.  In the second game of their double header the got beat by a good Browns team as they attempted a furious comeback.  The Bears have a great time playing and can't wait for their week 4 game against the Steelers.  Good Luck Bears!
