INTRODUCING AYSO SELECT

Trumbull AYSO is pleased to announce the launch this fall of AYSO SELECT. AYSO National officially introduced Club Soccer in 2016. Trumbull AYSO SELECT will be our local development program for kids wanting more competitive soccer.

We are beginning this exciting program this fall for AYSO-registered U7 and U8 players in conjunction with Ole Soccer’s Development Academy. The objective will be to provide players with the key skills and development needed to play at a higher level. It will include both superb skills training and appropriate competitive events including tournaments and games.

Fall 2017 will be an 8-week program: skill sessions on Fridays starting September 15th, 4:30 - 6:00 pm at Kaechele, with league and tournament games on Sundays at the Olé Soccer Center in Monroe (schedule to be determined). Cost will be an affordable $245 per player. In addition, a winter and spring program will also be offered. Complete details are available by contacting Steve Fischer

We are also excited to announce that AYSO SELECT will be under Steve Waizenegger as Program Director.

Coach Waiz has been a Trumbull resident for 18 years. He has coached U9-U17 Travel & Premier levels with both boys and girls. He started as an assistant coach at Trumbull High School for 4 years before taking the Head Varsity Coaching position at St. Joseph's High School (10 years). He is going into his first season as the Laurelton Hall Girls varsity head coach. Steve has coached Club Soccer for Yankee United FC & Trumbull United, and was Director of Coaching for TUSC. He played 4 years of collegiate soccer at Adelphi University (D1) and was awarded a full athletic scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He then went on to play professionally for five years after college in various leagues throughout the Northeast Region. Other details:

· 18 years coaching experience

· 15 years of CT high school experience

· USSF D-License

· Staff - U16 boys

· CIAC CT State coaching permit

· NSCAA GK Diploma

· Grade 7 referee

· Certified in CPR / First Aid

· Former Adelphi University Player D1 scholarship player

· USSF professional 5 years

Steve’s soccer knowledge and experience will guide this program to be a huge success!
